The Church in Corvallis

After fifty-five years of Catholicism and six years in a protestant denomination, I walked into a meeting of the local church in Anaheim and my heart literally leapt for joy (as John the Baptist did in his mother’s womb). To my realization, this was the church, the New Testament church. It was April 1978, and my joy had just begun!

As the classic Christian hymn says, I have been “wrecked outright on Jesus’ breast”, and I have no desire to turn back. I have learned that God in Christ can be enjoyed! The Triune God has made His home in my heart (Ephesians 3:17).

In the local churches I am receiving enlightenment from the Word. I am daily being renewed by simply calling on His precious name, “Oh Lord Jesus,” and by getting into His Word.
